MS City Food Pantry

Hours of Operation:  Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10a-12p

The food for our pantry is supplied via the 12 Baskets program but is supplemented by special offerings. If you are interested in making a monetary donation to our food pantry, make your check payable to "Mississippi City United Methodist Church" and write "food pantry" in the memo line of your check. Then mail it to 219 Courthouse Rd., Gulfport, MS 39507.

MS City food pantry services the area between Cowan Rd. west to Kelly Ave. and south to north, Highway 90 to 48th St. If you live in this area and need assistance, please come by during the hours of operation and we will be more than happy to go over the guidelines and criteria.

Our pantry also offers a homeless program. This is where a person who is homeless can come by the pantry and pick a paper sack that is filled with snack bags of food and toiletries. Seashore Mission furnishes the snack bags and MS City furnishes the toiletry items. Since the number of food items is limited in the bag, the person may return once daily as many times as needed.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Gene Johnson with the church.

United Methodist Women (UMW) is an organized community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. The three circles that comprise the UMW at our church are the Lydia Circle, the Esther Circle, and the Rebekah Circle.
